Eggs and weight loss
I always have a protein/carb combination for breakfast. If I don't, I find my energy and eating for the day is subpar. So I usually eat eggs (egg/egg white) for the protein part. I've started to get a bit bored with eggs so I decided to start eating smoked salmon in the morning as an alternative (not all the time because of mercury but as an alternative.) I've noticed on the days I eat eggs, I'm satiated. On the mornings I eat salmon, I am STARVING by 11am. I eat a big enough portion of salmon so what gives? What is the mystery of the egg/energy/satisfaction? Anyone have any ideas?
It's interesting to note that I also read a study that those that had 2 eggs in the morning ate 360 fewer calories over a 36 hour period than those that had an equivalent portion of protein of yogurt.
Is the egg magic?
