Good Immunity and Health- The fundamentals
I read today that the fundamentals of good immunity and health are directly impacted by regular physical activity. Although this seems obvious, I usually equate going running or hiking with weight loss benefits. "If I do this, I'll burn 300 calories, or this will help with flexibility or strength training". Although I've learned this many times before, somehow I've pushed it to the back of my mind, the health and immunity boosts you get when you engage in physical activity. My stress level goes down significantly and I genuinely find the little things that annoy me, more make me laugh if I've worked out. I definitely have a better sense of humor.
I read the following statistic that I thought was interesting and I wanted to share: Of those children with neither parent engaging in physical activity on a regular basis, only 30% explore their physicality. Of those who have one parent? 50%. Those who have 2 parents engage? 70%.
