I'm 55 and feeling like these are the best times of my life. I love waking up in the morning -- life is good except for this weight problem. A quote I love: "To good women. May we be them. May we meet them. May we raise them" Another one: EXERCISE IS MEDICINE And let's not forget: " Don't believe everything you think."
I'm 42, married with two children, I enjoy reading, exercising, cooking, music. The medications for bipolar are terrible for making us crave the worst foods. The only way I will be able to lose wight again is to have peer support, as it's all too easy to say,"It's not my fault, it's the medicine's fault." It is the medicine's fault we have the cravings, but we still have a choice whether or not to stick a piece of fried chicken in our mouth-or a salad.
I've lived in Boston for a few years. This has been a big change for me after living on the West Coast and being in a relationship for 9 years. I've had trouble with consistency in the past.
