Goals: Lose 129 lbs!

Profile: I am a 26 year old Instructor at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I graduated with my Master's degree in 2008 and have been a faculty member since. I teach Human Anatomy and Physiology and I am overweight! I stand in front of a classroom of over 100 kids striving to be doctors, physical therapists, nurses and physician's assistants. I talk to them about the nature of the human body, how it works, how to keep it healthy, and I feel like a hypocrite. I have been overweight my whole life, I have tried Atkins, a nutritionist, I ate very little, weight watchers you name it, I was there. I think that I have come to the realization that I wasn't successful on those because I did not stick to it. I know that I need to make a change and I am going to work at it. Last time I joined weight watchers was 2 years ago and I think about what could have been if I would have just stuck it out. I need to lose 129 lbs and I do not want to think about how long it is going to take, I just want to take it on a day to day basis. The past is the past and I only want to look to the future. Weight watchers is by far the best and healthiest program out there and I plan to continue my journey with their principles. I would love to have people join in and post often so that we can keep eachother motivated.

I am pushing 70 years, am retired and loving it. My health is not bad but I have some problems. After a heart attack at age 63, I lost about 60 lbs but have gained back about 15. I need to detach that weight again and begin healthier eating. I am married for almost 49 years, have one daughter, son-in-law and grandson with #2 soon to arrive. I live in a wonderful continuing care community. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy life. I am physically very active doing 1/2 hour of aerobics almost every day plus strength training 2 x per week. I get tired more easily than I like. I love doing water color and oriental brush stroke painting, reading and going to the movies. I love to eat a bit too much and have lost the good habits I had earlier cultivated.

I am a 43 year old mother of two girls. They are 12 and 6 years old. I would love to be able to be more active with them and enjoy the time I have with them to the fullest.
