I'm a 50+-year-old woman with a very busy life. I work full-time and I'm going to school (I'm one year away from finishing my Bachelors and then onto my Masters). My daughter just had her first baby and my husband had 2 major surgeries in 3 months -- but he's going back to work next week. I'm taking care of ME and only me now, and that feels great! IT'S ABOUT TIME! I'm studying Management in order to start my own consulting business anyways; I want to mainly work with nonprofits. It took me this long to finish school because my parents said "girls don't need to go to college" -- and then I raised my family. Now it's time for me, I think. And time to remember that I usually don't let anyone tell me what I can't do! I want to look good and be healthy. I know people judge others by their bodies, the clothes they wear... all superficial stuff, really, but it's real. I want my clients to take me seriously. I want to be around when my new grand baby has babies of her own.
I am 23 and in medical school. I lost weight in high school but have been stuck in a 10 lb. range at the very highest end of the normal BMI for my height for the last five years. I want to lose the weight to be healthier, more fit, more confident, and to live the lifestyle that I will someday be prescribing to by patients. Two of my most favorite things to do are biking and reading fiction.
Mother of three; 15 year old son, 11 year old daughter and 9 year old daughter. My husband and I have been married about 4 years. Throughout my life, I have battled weight. I see my parents both retired medically before 50 years of age. I see my youngest daughter already battling her weight, just a little overweight for her age. I have to show my kids that it's possible to lose weight, keep it off, be healthy and live life.
