The Abs Diet

Is anyone here on the abs diet? I love these diet and have seen so much success. I've had a bumpy road and gained some weight but I'm finally ready to get back on track. I've been looking for a group for the abs diet and there just aren't any out there. So am I the only one doing the abs diet?

2:07 - you can learn the basics at the Men's Health Magazine website. Just plug in The Abs Diet in the search. It's basic and effective and it's for men or women. Granted the website is for men, but the same principles apply for women. They do have a ABS Diet for Women book, but the original book also has pictures of all the exercises being performed by women, too. I love the book! It has great workout schedules, telling you exactly what to do based on how many days a week you can devote to exercise.l

Op here I posted this message sooo long ago I thought no one was on the abs diet with me! I've also opened a few abs diet groups with no one joining. Would any of you be interested in starting a group? I've been of track for so long and recently moved in with my bf so I need to get back on the wagon asap.

1:27am - google it and you'll find it. It's written by the editor of Men's Health, so you can find it on their website, too.

Pretty much any approach to losing weight will 'work' if you stick to it. The Abs Diet is simply a repackaged program of eating whole foods 6x a day and exercise. I love it, though. I like it b/c it outlines training programs based on the number of days you can devote to exercise, the books have pictures of every excercise, it tells you why the foods they recommend are beneficial (nuts, berries, low fat dairy, etc.), and there are lots of motivating 'Before' and 'After' pictures.

If you've tried lots of programs, maybe The Beck Diet Solution is what you need. It's a program desiged to get you to STICK to a program - no matter what it is!

I went to the website but it didn't really say what kind of foods you have to eat. From what I heard it just sounds too good to be true. :/

It's not too good to be true - it just requires diligence, commitment, and good choices. :)

The Abs Diet Power Foods - no different than a lot of other programs. It emphasizes whole foods, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, nuts, low fat dairy, & lean meats. Essentially, eliminate the junk and eat well!

Agree - too good to be true is a program that promises great results with NO effort or lifestyle change! This requires both.

I'm thinking of buying the book the women's version. But I really want to hear it from someone who's done it and has seen results I really want to know if this actually works I don't wanna waste my money on another diet book.

It *works* if you put in the work :) Depending upon what you eat now, it might require a complete dietary overhaul and, of course, there are the workouts. They're not crazy, but it still requires challenging yourself consistently. Check it out online to check out the basics. The link provided by 7/29 - 2:24pm will give you an idea of what it's all about. Most programs *work* if you stick to it, the question is it a program you can stick to? Check it out and see!

I can stick to it but will it work? I just bought the book today and I went grocery shopping with my mom. We're starting tomorrow. I'm doing this diet mostly for her. I want to support her she's tried so many diets they were really hard and she never saw results so I think this one's a little easier for her. Hopefully she'll see results with this one so she can stay motivated.

Most programs work if you stick with it!! It's rarely the program and usually the person that accounts for lack of progress. If it's not working that usually means calories are being underestimated and exercise is beign overestimated.
