Vegtable Omeletes?

Are these healthy? The other day I went out with my boyfriend to breakfast and ordered it. It had green peppers, onions, broccoli and tomato in it so i figured it was healthy. ?? Is it high-calorie?

Hard to tell. The vegies and eggs may have been cooked in alot of butter. If made at home it sounds like a great breakfast.

In Glamour Mag they always have one section of "eat this...not that" and one time it said choose scrambled eggs over an omelet bc they usually pack in wayyyy more cheese than you would think. Sad, since I love omelets.

If you make your own veggie omelets at home, they're low in calories and fill you up as long as you don't add in cheese or butter.

at IHOP they add in PANCAKE BATTER to the omlettes to make them fluffy.
ask for egg substitute and light cheese ('cause what is the point of an omlette if it doesnt have cheese?!?)
Just going with veggie over meat is a huge improvement though.

pancake batter?? LOL, now I'm going to HAVE to try it just to see what kind of a bastard object ends up in my omelette pan. Weird!

I make an omelet almost daily I use :

1 egg
1/4 cup 1% milk
asparagus
peppers
tomatoes
chives
minced onions
celery seed
salt & pepper
spray butter to coat the pan & wipe it around & out.

W/ weight watchers it comes to 2.5 pts. I think they are delicious & filling, If making one for hubby I just add another egg & a little more veggies, normally fills a small pan.
