Lori,
I've never done relay for life--isn't it a 24-hour event or something like that? Can you tell me more about it?

Iris -
I think the one I'll be doing is from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. I've just started getting info on it and then found out that one of my friends does it every year and asked me to join her team. Here's a link for it. I hope it helps!

Where are you located?
The Breast Cancer 3-day is a good one-- They give you training schedules as well as a lot of support via the local staff...

There are several around the country...

If you are in Michigan, I would love to have you join my team!

Awesome!

Everyone here is awesome, getting involved is the way to go. I am walking in Boston (none of them are here in South Carolina and the 3Day in Atlanta is the same wekend!) Avon walk for Breast Cancer, the Atlanta 3Day in October and am getting ready to join the American Cancer Society Relay for Life as well. All the females in my family have had breast cancer! I have not been diagnosed but I figure the more I learn now the better armed I am with information if the time should come!
Kudos to all of you that are joining a good cause and being fit at the same time! Good luck on your training and give me a shout if you need any positive words! I got plenty to go around!

I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well.

I can’t imagine focusing long enough to research; much less write this kind of article. You’ve outdone yourself with this material. This is great content.

compound exercises

Compound exercises require certain muscle groups to work simultaneously and in coordination with each other. Compound movements can produce significant growth in your larger muscle areas, but in most instances these exercises do not isolate your biceps enough to stimulate maximum growth. This article explains why a combination of isolation and compound exercises is best for building big, muscular biceps
