McDonalds does use MSG. I knew it! MSG is in all hamburgers. Read on.

I've never been able to confirm from their website or any other place I've found until now. The link is a PDF with all of mickey d's favorite recipes. How to make a mcdonald's hamburger is there when you scroll and it says ALL hamburgers use Accent, which has MSG. I knew it. It's the reason I always want 2 more after I eat one. It's so addictive.

MSG is addictive?
I thought it just had a reputation for causing migraines in some people, which I think was disproved years ago but am not entirely sure.

Why are you even eating mcdonalds? First step in weight loss, FAST FOOD IS GONE! Everything you eat (85% of it) should be home cooked, and the rest is like salad, or sushi, for gods sake, mcdonalds isnt REAL FOOD!

PP, who says she was eating McDonalds? I'm sure she meant in the past, before her diet started! No need to be so rude. I am so sick of a ll the rudeness on this forum!

I am the OP. And the other poster is right - I ate mcdonalds long ago and now have an occassional quarter pounder with cheese twice a year. Me thinks the poster who was rude hasn't lost any weight this week and is taking it out on us in here. You can do it. Get back on track.

You think that the anti-fast food poster qualifies as rude?? You've missed some seriously nasty threads 'round these parts. It's not like she threw around pointless nasty names or even a personal insult.

Besides, she's right. The only people I've stumbled across during my years on this site who lose weight eating fast food have had 100-200 pounds to lose. If you go from eating a supersized Big Mac meal with a side of double-cheeseburger and cut back to a regular Big Mac meal with diet coke, it works for a while, usually until they see the light and cut that back to a twice-a-year treat, or they give up and regain.

the information in that file isn't all correct. perhaps it is correct back in the times that it says the information is quoted from: the 50s, 60s and 70s.

i was the manager of a mcdonalds for a few years. although i'm not doubting for a second that there is msg in the seasoning, a lot of info in this file is incorrect.

(it's also really easy to just ask for your burger with no seasoning, by the way)
