Help. I'm New

Hey everyone.

I just joined PT and I have to admit that I'm at a bit of a loss as to getting started. Can anyone give me the steps and exactly what I'm suppose to do to participate.

Thanks.

Welcome!

There a couple of ways you can start. If you want to join a group, which is limited to 4 people, take a look at what's out there. Maybe join a few. Some are more active than others and it may take a few to find one thatyou like. If you don't see a group that seems to fit, you can start your own. You can also join a team, which is usually has a lot more participants.

Hmmm...that should at least get you started! Good luck!

Make sure you log your food and exercise. It will help others help you when you are looking for advice. Other than that, have fun, be open to new ideas and activities, be encouraging, and be nice! You gotta watch out, sometimes on these anonymous sites people assume it's a free license to be nasty and rude. Just laugh them off, wish them some chocolate, and keep up the good work!

Welcome. I started 11 months ago. I started with one group to get the hang of things and I was so lucky...I am still in the group and the people are WONDERFUL. As time went on I joied a couple a teams (which tend to be inactive) and several other groups. After I felt comfortable, I started a group based on a special interest.

It has been a wonderful experience. I have joined and left a couple of groups and teams over the months, mainly because they have been inactive or the chemistry wasn't quite right.

My main advice is to participate. Log daily and communicate with your team and group mates. People respond and my experiences here have been good.
