Have you lost more then 50 lbs

Do you have loose skin? I have lost more then 50 and have another 50 to go, I excercise regularly and have changed my eating drastically. I am just wondering what other people have experienced. So far I feel like I will only have loose belly skin, and maybe inner thigh. What do you have or don't have?

Congrats on your loss!!! I have lost 92 pounds and I only have belly flab. However, I have 3 children, so that could/could not be related to the weight. LOL

I have lost 50

I find that I have a little bit of loose skin in the arms, and a few small stretchmarks in the armpits and inside of thighs. and I have several on my breasts, I think moisturizing every day after a shower helps a little.

75 lbs down, 25 to go

My biggest problem areas in terms of looking acceptable in clothes (none of me looks okay without clothes, let's not even go there) have delightful nicknames:

MEAT SKIRT - aka Fat Apron or Butt-Belly

BAT WINGS - no, not the triceps (not that they're anything great, but at least it's relatively normal to have slightly flappy arms), more like the lat area, just below the armpit. Weightlifting has not helped at all.

Yep. I started out at my highest of 350 and am now at 294 (still a long way to go). My lower belly is hanging so eventually that's going to be skin that will need to be surgically removed. I got too fat for too long so there's no chance I can tighten it up on my own. Also, the skin under my upper arms and on the tops of my hands is loose. It's probably going to get worse as time goes by, but I'd rather have extra loose skin than be more than 150 lbs too heavy...

have you lost more than 50 pounds?

first, kudos on your weight loss and commitment to keep going. Now the leftover skin. I have lost 100 pounds, with 20 to go. I just recently had a tummy tuck. No matter how much or how hard I worked out there was no way that skin was going to go away. Was in and out of the hospital in 48 hours. I didn't have to pay a dime because of my weight loss. My thighs look like the california raisins are doing a jig, but my surgeon won't touch them. Too dangerous he says. And thats fine with me. I don't plan on wearing mini skirts or bikinis!! I have been working out and lifting weights, so my arms are toning. I am actually quite happy with how I look, considering I was 280 pounds. But anyway, skin can't bounce back when you have had it stretched for so many years. My belly skin didn't, anyway. So you just do what makes you happy, and when you have finished your journey, decide then if you want anything done. Luck to you my PT friend.

I have lost over 200 pounds and yes there is loose skin, everywhere. I look forward to reaching my goal. Still a long ways away but I now believe I can do it.
My butt and stomach and breasts are the worst. And I hope to have something done to help them when I get close to my goal. But in the mean time I think even with the excess skin I feel better. I am in control and not food. Most of the time.
I am getting healthier and I am fighting for me.

I am a little self conscious of the skin but you know, that is what I look like not who I am. If someone has a problem with it, I don't need them.
I find I need to be surrounded by people who recognize my fight and are willing to support me in it. And encouragement without judgement is everything.

Congratulations to all of you who have worked so hard and done so well. Good for you!!!!!!

I lost 60lbs, only really had a little loose skin on my upper arms, which has since tightened up (it's been about a year since I lost the weight). But I'm young (22), if that has anything to do with it.

Wow!!!
Congratulations to all of you!
To 4:41, special kudos to you, that's quite a journey!

I have a friend who is over 350 lbs and one of his reasons for not going through the weight loss is the extra skin. I've offered to help pay but I don't think he wants that either.

I guess I don't have a question really, I just wanted to say you all give me hope that maybe one day my friend will follow in your steps.
