Avoiding night and mindless snacking - best tip

Weigh yourself at night, right after dinner. You usually lose about 2 pounds between the night and the day and you'll be able to figure out how much you'll weigh the next morning. Try it - knowing that number will prevent you from eating anything else for the entire night.

thats a good tip, I weigh myself right after dinner...but then I snack all night and definatly notice the weight hasnt changed much in the morning. If i dont snack there is a greater weight loss, I guess thats how the numbers slowly creep up

This may sounds easier said than done, but sometimes you just have to really make the decision not to snack. I guess it's about willpower, and some have more than others. It's too easy to give in when yuo feel you want something to eat, but you can just say no, even if it's hard. And think how much better you'll feel about it the next morning.

Say the kitchen is closed or have some fruit. A crunchy apple in slices can be very filling. Also brush your teeth after dinner, the minty taste will take your mind off of snacking.
