No one sticks around.
Motivation is super high at the beginning, then by about the 2nd or 3rd week people start dropping like flies.
Its frustrating for those that want to stick around and see the finish line. You feel like you're talking to a wall when suddenly those 30 people are M.I.A

Oh yeah, I totally agree. There are people who join groups and don't make any contribution whatsoever. I don't mind if people want to lurk at the beginning, see if the vibe of the group is right form them, but 6 weeks later and no comment? Why bother?
