I bought a gift certificate in December for a massage and facial for when I reached this goal. I need to make an appointment for that. Thanks for the reminder!

Lori is in a group with me and she really is an inspiration. She's a tireless cheerleader and support, even offering a smile and a kick in the pants at the same time!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lori!
Her beauty on the outside is ONLY surpassed by what a great gal she is on the inside.

How I did it

I added a link to my public log in my first post. I've been on PT since last May. You can follow it every step of the way. It really comes down to committment, patience and perseverance. I got so heavy that I could barely do anything. I was winded by every little movement. My husband was overweight too. He decided to get lap band surgery. I just thought there was no way I was going to get surgery to lose weight. This was something I could control. My daughter was 4 and I really wanted to be here for her. To set a good example and break the cycle. It all started with water aerobics. I know that women who are overweight do not like to be seen in a bathing suit but you have to take into consideration that most of the women in the class were in their 60's and 70's. They didn't give a rats ass what I looked like. They just let it all hang out! I would also take my daughter to the swimming pool a lot last summer. I had to get it in my head that it was not fair to deny her fun and active things to do because of my weight. It was not her fault. I just had to get over my vanity. If anything, it probably helped push me to keep at it. I hope to see some of the same people at the pool this year and make them do a double take! I have continuously tried to better myself, try new things, learn more and change things up. It's a journey and a learning experience. While I have had my plateaus and frustrations I have never stopped. Check out this link. It goes into more detail.

Thanks everyone for the cheers!!

Lori :)
