Valentines Day Tips

The chocolate will be my worst temptation.

I only like the carmel ones in the box of chocolates so there is no chance I will pig out and eat all the chocolates. But if you do have that problem then make sure you share your box with as many people as possible that way there will be less for you to binge on. And remember you can always treat yourself to one or two and then compensate for it when you workout:o)

My husband knows that I am strictly dieting so he is not buying me any Chocolates for Valentine's Day. So, I don't have to worry about that. We are going out for dinner so I will just eat barely any calories during the day so I know I can't go over my calorie limit at dinner.

I think the best thing for everyone on Valentines Day is to let the hubby or bf know in advance that you really are trying to avoid the chocolate this year. If you don't get it then you don't have the temptation to eat it:o)

My hubby bought me a bunch of chocolate for Christmas and I just stared at him like a deer caught in the headlights! I threw a bunch of it away. (he doesn't know that) He told me that for Valentine's Day he wouldn't be buying me any chocolate. I was relieved :)

Or, if you have to have some chocolate, get a couple of giant chocolate dipped STRAWBERRIES... :-) and have it with a bowl of non-dipped strawberries... :-) YUMM

my landlord left me a box of choc. (yeah i know, it's wierd) and i've simply decided that i won't open them. it's a huge box and i don't need to have the temptation. which means that i've got to figure out who to give them to. the hilarious thing is that i don't want to give them to someone i really like....that's just a bad thing to do.

Hubby got my hints ( the ones I started flinging out the day after Christmas, when all the stores started laying in the chocolate hearts) : no candy! No sabotage. Am happy to report he couldn't wait until Valentine's Day and got me a brand-new digital camera this year instead, for the pictures I won't be ducking anymore very soon. Helps to have a cheerleader on the home front!

awwwww - that's a sweet story (no pun intended)!

This year we don't get to celebrate since the hubby is out-of-town, but when he gets back we are going to celebrate by booking a night at a resort/spa and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. There are some very reasonable ones nearby that still have winter rates...

Neither of us has had a break in quite awhile and we decide we would both prefer this to trying to squeeze into a crowded restaurant or purchase outrageously-priced flowers for each other as we have done in the past...

I have requested, planned for and am thoroughly enjoying 3 pieces of Godiva. Since I do not eat sweets on a regular basis it is perfectly acceptable to enjoy them for this special occasion. Guilt-free even!

My wonderful husband also got me some very sexy, red lingerie. That'll keep me motivated to continue losing.

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone!

I told my husband over and over that this year I wanted a plant that I could keep. I mean the flowers are nice but after a couple of weeks they die. I wanted something pretty that I could keep and would flower all the time. Did he listen? No of course not. I think next year I will buy him a flowered plant and then I know I will have one to keep:o)

My husband got me roses, a necklace, a CD, and the Sex and the City collectors set with all the seasons. He was super sweet. But, even though I told him no sweets he did get me one piece of Lindor's White Chocolate. He knows they are my favorite, so I am glad he only got one. :D

I greatly dislike Valentine's Day. Seriously. It is such a commercial holiday. I get it...it's a day to show your loved ones you care. What about the other 363 days of the year? Hmmmm....

We don't really buy into it ... much

We give each other card and a "token" gift. This year he is getting a new travel mug for his coffee, last year it was a book.
