calories in NY style slice of pizza?

Anyone know? Cheese only.

Well, I consider Costco pizza to be similiar to NY style...the pieces are big and the crust is thin and those are 803/slice according to the web.

I have a hard time believing (AKA denial!) that it's that many calories so I count my fav NY style pizza as 500 calories/slice.

A typical slice of NY style pizza is about 350-380 cals. If it's particularly doughy, add more calories. If you don't eat the end crust, subtract accordingly (I normally deduct 40 cals when I do this).

blotting also helps

I love NY style pizza but of course those tasty slices can't come with part skim cheese, so I usually blot off the extra oil the whole milk cheese produces. It probably saves less than 50 cal/slice but it seems worth it to me!

Costco Pizza Response

Costco Pizza is nothing like a hot, round 16" thin, crisp NY pizza. If it is a true NY style cheese "pie" with a fresh, light maranara sauce it has to be 300 calories. NY pies are not oily. The sauce is fresh. The cheese is light in proportion. Just make sure you know what kind of pizza you are having so you know how many calories/points you are having. Good luck. I can be very confusing.

I took the calories for 1/4 of a 12" piece of NY style pizza and used the ol' area-of-a-circle formula to get a number for 1/8 of an 18" slice (which is a NY-size slice). It's 425 calories.
