I feel like I almost have to try to gain weight.

I ate soooo much this week and I gained a pound but I knew I would. I feel like I almost tried to do it. Isn't that weird?

That is weird- maybe you are conflicted about actually losing weight. This made me think of some of the other recent threads about being more comfortable being fat, and not liking the attention you get from people when losing weight.

something like that happened to me. I went out with friends and just threw my portion control out the window and ate like I used to. I felt terrible. that bloated taut stomach feeling and not being able to bend over because the abdomen was so full felt horrible! really made me appreciate what I'm doing now and how different it is from the old way. I'm kind of glad I did it. but I won't do it again...

Pressure to be fat

I don't think it's so weird! Not only do you get used to the idea of yourself as being fat or overweight, so do the people around you. And they will praise you for your success, but they will also try to push you to eat unhealthfully just "this once", or "take a break from your diet already." Not because they're trying to be mean, but because your improving yourself shines a light on whatever they're slacking on.
