A sugar glider...

I was just reading other people's responses about what we like about ourselves (which was a great idea, OP!), and I saw people asking about sugar gliders! Sugar gliders are marsupials. They are nocturnal and tiny (about 5 inches plus a slightly longer tail). I guess you could compare them to flying squirrels, only so much cuter! Rather than fly, they glide (hence the name), and they're also sugar addicts! When they glide, they look kind of like bats. I guess they can glide up to 150 feet. In captivity, they can live up to 12-15 years. I've just had mine for a year a half; I got her the day before I ran my 3rd marathon. I work for a local animal shelter, and one of my friends was fostering her, so I adopted Isabella Claire. She is a complete joy. When she's sleeping in her Christmas stocking (yes, she sleeps in a stocking), and I'm bugging her, she will crab. When she wants my attention (often the middle of the night), she will bark like a puppy. She likes to cuddle in my robe, and chase my cat. I guess you can trim their nails, but I don't, so that's why I have scratch marks! I adore the little bugger.
