Diet Plateau

I was reading a post from a different day and someone mentioned that you can plateau on a diet like you can plateau with exercise. Is this true? Do you have to vary your diet? I tend to pick something and eat it for weeks (i.e., a turkey wrap with lettuce, tomato and mustard). Although it is low in calories and fat, I feel like my weight does not budge (even when I am eating healthy at other meals).

Yes, you can plateau with food too. I know it's a bummer but you'll always see better results if you keep surprising your body with different types of (healthy) foods and different types of exercise.

You have to "up" your calories usually during a weightloss journey to avoid the plateau...

reason being - you've added muscle and lost fat - the added muscle increases your metabolism and so you burn more calories than you used to at the beginning of your journey. You have to "up" the calories you're eating to avoid having too much of a deficit each day and causing the metabolism to think you're eating too little and then the metabolism will become sluggish and hang onto things!
