Expectations - lets make a list!

Inspired by the tip of the day I started thinking about this, and wondering what others are expecting. I'm working on changing my mind set to really expect to lose weight, supplanting my deep seeded expectation of failure. Because the reality is that I think the new me really does expect to lose weight!

By losing weight...
... I expect my clothes to be looser & much cuter
... I expect it to be easier getting down & up off the floor
... I expect to look & feel prettier
... I expect to have more energy and sleep better
... And I expect to be so very healthy!!

Also loved tip of the day!

By losing weight...
... I expect to be able to sit down with out fixing my shirt to hide roll of tummy.
... I expect to feel healthier and not have as hard time going up the stairs at work.
... I expect to feel happier
... I expect to fit into smaller cloths and feel prettier as well.
... I expect to feel a lot more confident when I walk into a room.

same poster from above

I wonder how much of that is mental though.
Like I'm sure I could feel like a full bodied goddess if I walked into a store right now if I wanted to. But to be honest right now I'm pretty sure that when the guy greets me at the door, he's just doing his job. He's not flirting. Once I lose the weight however, I might entertain the thought at least that that smile he gave me, he didn't give to any other customers that day.

I love the peertrainer tip of the day. I expect much greater things now that I'm aware of the difference.

expectations

this was a great idea:

i expect that after losing weight i will:

be able to walk into a store and buy off the rack without the struggle of trying to find my size
have more energy and won't require 9 hours of sleep to feel rested
be more awake during the day - not struggling to make it through
have more confidence - feel more attractive

good luck everyone - Katie

My Expectations

By losing weight....
...I expect to yell at my kids less (okay, so I skipped a couple of steps, but I think you get my drift)

11:05 I see at the bottom of this page it is an explanation to that info..Good Luck!

As for me I just expect I will confident enough to wear a bikini and tank tops again and well most of the clothing I have stuffed in the back of my closet waiting to make a debut *(again) I also expect to buy a shirt and not worry if it shows off the belly bulge too much, and I expect to never be in this predicament again!

I expect my boyfriend's step mother to finally leave my size alone.
I expect a feeling of satisfaction that I defied my family's obese genes. and with that I will defy the diabetes and cholesterol problems it comes with.
I expect to NOT (re)injure my knees
I expect to sit in a bikini and not think about it.
I expect to change in front of my roommate without covering myself because I will be proud of the abs and thighs i worked oh so hard for.
I expect to feel in control.

I'm still working on changing my expectations. I've never really been successful at losing weight, just more tolerant of my new sizes. I do expect that I will lose weight this time though. I expect to fall off the wagon. I expect to jump back on. Right now, that's about all I have. I think as I gain more confidence and lost more weight (without putting it back on), that my expectations will change and improve.
