Weight Watchers SETPoints
This was on another thread and I want to make sure this discussion is out there. This is another example of Weight Watchers showing that no two foods are created equally. Sort of like Fuhrman's MANDI points system. In fact it would be interesting to see if weight watchers scores different healthy foods differently. For example Spinach is scored way higher than a cucumber because of the differences in nutrient density.
"There is a new concept with the Momentum Plan that I am waiting to learn about. The new book has some foods that have two point values, the regular points and then a SETPoint value. I am not sure what the SETPoints are all about since the details are in Week 5 and we aren't there yet. But the SETPoints value is sometimes higher and sometimes lower than the regular point values.
I had salmon the other night and a 6oz fillet is listed as 9 points, but only 5 SETPoints. Does anyone know what that's all about? "
