Getting rid of armpit fat?

How do you get rid of fat armpits?

My armpits are kind of like this, if you don't know what I'm talking about:
http://www.lepoint.fr/content/system/media/2/20070605/2007-06-05T153811Z_01_NOOTR_RTRIDSP_2_OFRSP-SPORT-TENNIS-GARROS-SHARAPOVA-2-20070605.jpg

Except the thing is that my armpits aren't flabby, per se. It almost feels just like it's swollen or something. I do have larger breasts but I really don't want to have to lose weight in my breasts just to get rid of the armpits if I don't have to. I've always had the flabby armpits, even when I was at a lower weight and smaller breasts so I'm not sure what I can do about it.

I've tried one exercise with weights where you lift your arms at the side and then bring it back down (in the front or back to work out the front and back of the shoulder) but that hasn't seemed to help at all.

Also wondering, could it be a medical issue? It doesn't really hurt so I don't want to go to the doctor on a whim when nothing is even really wrong, you know?

Any help would be great.

I'm pretty sure that chick's sports bra is just too tight. It looks to me like that's part of her boobs being squeezed out the sides.

Maybe you should just look into getting properly fitted for under garments?

Agree with 7:13. Poorly fitted clothes and undergarments will cause that to happen - even to the best of bodies (case in point - the fact that you're using Maria Sharapova as an example of what your armpits look like! The girl is a professional athlete and not even close to being 5 pounds overweight.)

The only way to determine a medical issue is to see a medical professional.

Accessory axillary breast tissue

I don't know if this is your problem but it was mine. Even when i was in perfect shape i had big fat blobs that were completly seperate from my breasts that lived in my underarms (or the medical term my "axilla") The same way that you can't work out so that your breasts will go away you cannot work out so that these go away either. Mine were very painfull near my menstrual cycle and i was very concerned about what would happen when i was ready to have children. Once i found out what it was i did some research and found out that after pregnancy there can be some bad pain considering that whether or not you coose to breast feed, your armpits may swell with liquid and without a valve (nipple) to release that liquid it can become VERY painful. I had a very simple outpatient procedure to remove both sides and i felt just fine only hours afterwards, the pain is something similar to a bruise. My insurance company covered it without a problem and I am happy to have it taken care of. This genetic defect is diagnosed in 3 out of every 100 women, which to me seems fairly common. Imagine how many women go UNdiagnosed. My previous doctors told me that it was just fat or that i had worn my bras too tight durring puberty, that is WRONG. The best way i can describe it is this: Everyone has berast tissue in their underarms, but as women our brains don't send that breast tissue the signal to grow, the way that our breasts do. My brain didn't get the memo and told that breast tissue to grow anyway. Do some google image searches, and look up "supernumerary breast in the axilla" or "accessory axillary breast tissue." Next time you get your anual pap and bring your doctor any internet research you've done, ask for a simple breast (axillary) breast exam and as for a referral to a surgeon. The better prepared you are when you see your doctor the less BS you will get in return. I hope this helps you, i know how frustrating it is to live with this. Good Luck! I hve included the BLOG that i initially found that helped me identify my problem and begin my research

From your post, I suspect you are not the woman in the picture but that you have bulging under your arms like she does. I agree with the previous poster. You won't get rid of it with exercise. Wheter it is fat or breast tissue the way to get rid of it is with surgery, preferably plastic surgery.

General Information
This diet is also a fast and is fat- burning. The key is that you will burn many more calories than you will take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well- being. This diet does no lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time b/c of the removal of fat build- up in your system. Go off the diet for at least twenty-hours before consuming any alcohol. Because each person's digestive system is different, this diet will not have the same effect on everyone. After three days, if you don't cheat, you will have more energy that before you began. After you have been on the diet for several days, you may find that your bowel movements have changed and you may need to eat a cup of bran or fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this plan, after the third day you may find that you don’t need the caffeine. testking 642-661 The Basic Fat Burning Soup can and should be eaten anytime you feel hungry… eat as much as you want. Remember, the more of the soup you eat, the more you will lose.
Definite no-no's on the plan are:
• Breads
• Alcohol
• Carbonated drinks (including diet)
• All fried foods
This diet will not interfere with any prescribed medication. testking SSCP You can eat broiled chicken for the beef if you wish, but absolutely no skin on the chicken. If you wish you can substitute broiled fish for beef on one of the beef days. You need the high protein from beef on the other day. Continue this plan as long as you wish and feel better both mentally and physically.
The Basic Fat Burning Soup
6 large onions
1 to 2 cans of tomatoes
1 large head of cabbage
2 green peppers
I bunch of celery
1 package of Lipton soup mix
Season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley if desired, or bullion, or hot sauce.
Cut vegetables in small to medium pieces and cover with water. Boil fast for ten minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue cooking until vegetables are tender. testking 642-975 This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want as this soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. Fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day. If eaten alone for an indefinite period of time, you would suffer malnutrition.
Day 1 All fruits except bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruits. Eat only fruits with soup. For drinks, use unsweetened tea, cranberry juice or water
