Hallowe'en Plans?

So, what's everyone doing for Hallowe'en this year? Chime in with your awesome costume ideas, gripe about costuming woes, tell us about the trials and tribulations of dressing the family dog (or your two-year-old, probably similar hassles)... whatever!

Did I miss that day in school? Is there an apostrophe in the Halloween?!

I saw a great costume online yesterday...two actually. One was a toddler dressed up as Nacho Libre the other was a baby dressed up as a lobster and his parents were carrying him in a pot.

My plan is to not buy candy until the day of, so I will, of course, be cursed by all the neighborhood kids for having crappy candy. And costumes are all done - same ones that I made last year! I love that my kids love to recycle their costumes!

I plan to get peanut-butter candy for the kids and Pinot Grigio for myself. Because peanut butter tastes awful with wine.

6:47 -- Hallowe'en is actually a contraction of "All Hallows Evening"... you can see the progression from All Hallows Evening to Hallow Evenin' to Hallowe'en.

I am planning a really awesome costume, but a part of me worries that when I wear it, I will overhear remarks of "Yeah, she's too fat to wear a skirt that high". Hallowe'en is a problem spot for me... It's a time when it should be acceptable to make-believe, to pretend, to costume up just for the fun of it. But sadly, this is reality, and people are still vicious, even if it is a fun-inspired day.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

We go to a friend's house for a bonfire....It's BYOB but I bring Alpine sugar-free instant apple cider...It's warm and tastes great. Some add liquor to it but I like it just as it is.

I'm going to party. I want to wear something sexy on Halloween for the first time since 2002. It's going to be fabulous ;-)

Going to an amusement park dressed as a zombie. Just have to lay off the fake blood; I hear that stuff is terribly high in calories ;)
