I used to put myself down all the time - I used to play 4 hours of tennis a day and with that I had an awesome body. I stopped, put on weight, and was miserable. First you need to be positive and start complementing yourself daily - you have developed a bad habit of putting yourself down. You need to replace the negative with the positive - you will develop the habit of being positive the more often you actually ARE positive.

What are you good at? What do you love to do? Find a fun hobby or exercise. I find that over time once I get into a hobby or do a certain workout over time - I master it. This expertise of a hobby or exercise makes me feel more confident and is a healthy outlet. You love to dance? There are several work out videos that incorporate dance moves that are fun and easy. I did years of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, and funk) and several different tapes helped me at least get started leading a healthy lifestyle - plus I could do them in the comfort of my own home where no one could see me so that I wouldn't feel self-conscience.

In PT's boot camp or something like that, they talked a lot about not waiting to be motivated. They say that motivation comes with actually doing something. I don't say it as well as they do, but basically if you get up just one morning and run, then you will feel really motivated the rest of the day.

Anyway. I've never signed up for the bootcamp thing, but if you dig around PT, you will find lots of interesting stuff that helps with motivation and self esteem.

Good luck. I hope my reply wasn't too lame. I too was 120 at 5 foot 4 and went up to 141. Then down to 120 and I felt on top of the world. Then back to 128. And here I am, fighting to get back down..... And I've found that if I can get out of bed, I'm usually good for the rest of the day.

Don't be too shy of a diet, either, to get your weight back down. Maintaining weight and losing weight are too different battles.
