Are You Hungry Most Of The Time?

I decided to start a new thread. There are many posts that offer suggestions on how to deal with being hungry, but I am wondering, do most people who visit this site feel hungry most of the time?

I'm only hungry at expected times - a few times a day several hours after I've eaten. However, I want to EAT all day long!! If I only ate when i was hungry I'd be golden (and really thin) :)

I used to think I was "hungry" all the time, but that was when I was using food for more reasons than physical hunger. Am still working on that, but after about seven to eight months of limiting eating to three squares a day, am usually only hungry a little before mealtimes, and my meals are substaintial enough (sometimes a little too substantial--that's the part am still working on) to keep me satisfied most of the time. It's difficult to retrain ourselves, but the effort is worth it and pays off sooner than your might expect.

I am one of those that felt uncomfortably hungry most of the time. After reading the posts I wondered why. Now, I think I was actually experience indigestion from trying to digest too much food at one time. I decided to cut back on the coffee and eat 6 small meals. It seems to be working. I feel hungry about every 3 hours. I do get acid reflux about every three months or so, and I read that the 6 meals are better for this.

I've been working on distinguishing between actual hunger and the physical desires I have to eat that are caused by boredom, stress, habit, etc. And, I do get hungry between scheduled eating times, but if you can be patient and distract yourself, hunger goes away. Check out Beck diet solution - hunger is not an emergency!
