hi Was just wondering what all you think anout the H1N1. My daughter is not going trick or treating this year because of the H1N1 being so bad in my area. I may just be to over protectant but I am not sure about everything with this new pandemic. I even took my daughter out of school then after i did two days later they shut school down for at least a week to try to get this under control over 57% of the school was out.. I am worried about all the kids going trick or treatin and getting exposed to this awful flu ..

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't think trick or treating would have given you any bigger chance of being exposed to the flu than just living. Just by living and breathing and being in society (grocery shopping, going to the mailbox, the bank, whatever) you are exposing yourself. Just keep washing your hands.

I'm not sure if I agree that it's a pandemic.

However, I do agree with the advice of 9:46.

I agree with the previous 2 posters. My sister caught H1N1 and it ended up turning into brocchitus and now laryngitus. She has been off work for 2 weeks. She also has asthma and she's skinny as a rail, so she can't afford to lose weight. Anyway, she is just being smart about it. Rest, fluids, etc. After about 5 days, she started running a high fever, that's when she went to get on meds. Otherwise she says it's more like coughing and cold/sinus.

Our elementary is full of flu. Not necessarily H1N1. Wash your hands, don't put your hands on your face, cough in your sleeve.

5:39 I will second that!!!
I realize if your child is already very fragile or has a previous illness, but we would have to start living in bubbles, no going to stores ,church, friends houses etc.
If your sick stay home if not wash hands often and be cautious like no touching eyes mouth ...and carry purell for our little ones ...
