Best way to take off 5 FAST??!!

I need to lose more but would love to take off 5 as fast as I can. It's a wardrobe issue. If anyone has any ideas or experiences. Kind of a jump start. Once the scale starts going down, I find I have the power to keep going. Any ideas?

I ran across this in my Jillian Michaels Making the Cut book - it's a very short term plan to help you shed water weight. She says you can drop a fair amount of water weight and eliminate bloat if you:

1) eliminate excess sodium (give up the processed foods and this isn't too hard)
2) drink a pitcher of water w/ 2 tbl unsweetened cranberry juice, juice of a lemon and a cup of dandelion tea (if you can find it) - the ingredients have a natural diuretic affect.

hth
3) eat clean: lean proteins, lots of greens

If you want to drop body fat quickly eat a lot of salty vegetable soups - think cabbage soup diet. Lots of water helps too.
How bad of a wardrobe issue is this?? If it's around the stomach, you could always do a juice fast for a few days.

Thanks for your ideas.... though the 2 ideas differ on the salt issue. Salthy veggie soup will help? I can understand veggies, and lots of water,, perhaps lots of fruit too. I'll try it. Wardrobe issue, yes stomach mostly. I am stuck in 3 pairs of pants that I fit into, that's it. But if I could lose about 5, maybe 8 lbs, I have about 20 pairs of pants that I could fit into.... you'd think that would be motivating enough..... I want the scale to move. I want my pot belly to not feel so swollen. I really don' tthink I overeat enough to justify this pot belly. I look pregnant.. honestly. but my legs look okay, not great, but not as bad as they should with the belly I have.
Ok, enough bitching,,,, time to put something into action. Thanks for the ideas.

I know that frustration of being just a few pounds from access to a whole 'nother part of your wardrobe!

The belly thing is interesting...feeling swollen isn't normal. Maybe look into food allergies? Wheat intolerance, those kinds of things. If you're up for just doing a trial and error yourself and eliminating grains and seeing if it makes a difference - who knows. Either way, avoiding the salt will help with bloat and water weight. I've never heard a suggestion (for any weight loss goal) to consume more salt!

Things that have helped me drop weight fast for special events/outfits:

- Eat 5 small meals (dinner being the smallest)
- definitely eat breakfast
- drink your dinner (low calorie/fat smoothie)
- dont' eat after 7pm
- cut out bread
- replace all snacks with fruit/veggies (apples, carrots, grapes, oranges)
- eat veggies for meals (grilled mushrooms + onions + spices, microwaved sweet potato w/ cinnamon + no calorie sweetener) - need meat? have a couple slices of lean lunch meat
- drink a lot of water
- do long low intensity work outs - walk or elliptical
- chew gum or drink water first if you are snacky or hungry
