Oh for goodness' sake -- people meet online ALL the time! And you can meet more weirdos in a bar, I swear. I do think the OP might do well to post on or OkCupid as well, though -- there are plenty of overweight folks on those sites, and some of them might jump at the chance to have an inspiring partner.

I agree that it was a bad idea to post their email here... good luck with the spam... but as for meeting online... I met my boyfriend online. Although we did joke at the end of the first date and thanked eachother for not being a murderer or rapist, but seriously, we found a really great match just from an online forum.
