Grossest way to cook Salmon... EVER

So I'm in North Carolina on business and I went to the local franchise of my gym tonight for a little cardio... I go to the "healthy" grill next door and order the samon with plain rice and grilled veggies.

When it arrived, it was lovely but weird looking. It had this funky smoked fatty taste I couldn't identify.

Then I realized what it was...

They wrapped the salmon in BACON!

I find that as I travel the country that the same places will have the same items but will cook them differently. Often you have to ask how items are prepared even though it may seem clear that it is made 'healthy'.

I honestly am not surprised that the salmon was prepared that way becasue of where you were.

lol. did it at least taste good? never heard of fish/bacon combo - could be good. but seriously not on salmon - salmon is too fatty to begin with

reminds me of a cheesburger on a krispy kreme donut:

I've had scallops wrapped in bacon before - yum! But I can't imagine salmon... Though actually, I think it sounds good!
