how to stop eating ice cream

I can order a sdalad for lunch but then all I want is icecream. Same thing happens after dinner. Ill have a piece of chicken and veggies and then the ice cream craving comes. Help! Should I eat it anyway because I'm eating so well all the other time?

No! How are you getting access to the ice cream? In home, at work, drive through? You need to break this habit. Give it a good 10 days, then you'll find you're not craving it anymore. Don't let it temp you by having it in the house or readily available. What this comes down to is willpower. You can do this! Listen to your body, why are you craving it? Are you covering up feelings or just because it's there? If you really like it, try freezing some serving size yogurts. This is way better for you and it is measured out already!

I crave ice cream, too. I just indulge in Weight Watchers and Skinny Cow treats. Those are super delicious. Limit yourself to one a day.

I lust for ice cream. I do not buy it except once in a blue moon. Even then I'll just get an individual cup. My go to after meal snack is a sugar free popsicle. It isn't the same but it still does the trick.

How tall are you, and how much do you weigh?

I find that if I'm eating enough fruit, I really don't crave ice cream. On the rare occasions I do, I make a smoothy out of frozen berries and soy, rice, or almond milk, a squirt of agave, and a spoon of cocoa powder. Hits the spot every time - just having something cold, sweet, and relatively creamy does the trick for me.

The best advice I have is to GET IT OUT OF THE HOUSE! Just like the ruffles commercial where no one can have just one, we all have our food weaknesses. I can't have one food weakness in the house or I go nuts. Just try getting rid of it.

I agree! Make the decision ONE time in the grocery store that you're not going to continually indulge your weakness vs. bringing it into the house and making the decision over and over again. Plan on it once a month (once a week, whatever) and have a serving outside of the house.
