April 25 American Idol

What did you think?? I loved Chris' performance!! Elliott did good too. I didn't think Kat was nearly as bad as they said. I am ready for Kellie to go. I'm not crazy about her or Paris.

I love love love love Chris. he is hot and talented, a combination often missing in the entertainment industry today. He is amazing. i so hope he wins.

I totally agree! I cringed everytime a big note came up, because her screetching kills my ears. As for Paris, she has a powerful voice (regardless of age), but I'm just not feeling it for her. I think she performs but doesn't sing with passion/emotion.

Taylor was ok, and Kat did take on a song that is much bigger than her voice can handle, but i still love them both. Chris was my absolute favorite last night, and Elliot did well too. Paula cracks me up though.

I loved Elliot and liked Chris' performance, too. Kellie sucked it up so bad. I am hoping Paris, Kellie and Kat are in the bottom three, with Kellie going home this week and Paris next week.

Nope, never vote and never plan to.

Yep, voted all last night. I am pregnant, seriously sick with nausea and just sitting is the only thing that feels good right now. So, I sat and voted. :)

Chris is my favorite. That was the perfect song for him, and he did really well.

I don't see why everybody gets so excited about Elliott. He's got a really good voice, but he doesn't have very good stage presence and I am always very bored during his performances. Paula in tears over him last night???? Makes me question her judgement.

Paris and Kellie were terrible. Katherine and Taylor were OK.

I vote sometimes. I did vote last night for Chris. I did NOT want to see him in the bottom 3 again. It needs to be the 3 girls tonight (in the bottom 3)- eventhough I do like Kat a lot. Paula was a little crazy last night, wasn't she. It's entertaining though. I still like her!

Chris is okay, but for me, I thought it was all "smoke & mirrors"... they didn't even let the judges give him any kind of critique! His voice tends to sound too much the same week after week.

Kellie was terrible. Why she is even still around is beyond me. And unfortunately, her comments become more and more idiotic every time she opens her mouth.... Sad, if she is a "role model" to little girls today!

I really liked Kat and thought that some of the judges comments were a bit harsh. Although her dress wasn't the best choice (especially when she accidentally popped a few buttons and almost gave us a peep show!)

Elliot was the best guy last night in my opinion... Very nice and smooth voice.

Taylor is one of my favorites, but I'm not sure what was up with the sound balance--it sounded like they turned down his mic or something...

Paris was pretty good as well.....

It's hard for me to chose the order among the top 5, but Kelly definitely was bottom by a long shot!

Regarding Elliott--he has a face made for radio... LOL... although he is getting better--the longer hair and facial hair has made him look less like a neanderthal... You have to actually listen to him, vs. watching him...

Also, 1 other comment regarding Chris-- Why the heck were they focusing on the guitarist's HANDS while HE was singing? HE wasn't the one playing the guitar?! It's HIS performance, not theirs! That's why I'm saying he's a little bit of smoke & mirrors.

NO MORE KELLIE!

Halleluiah and Praise the Lord! We don't have to suffer through another wretched performance of hers. YEAH!!!!!!!!!

They have picked Taylor HIcks as the worst now that Kellie is gone. I am thinking that means that Elliot or Paris will leave next week. Huge bummer, since I like Elliot. Paris can leave = that wouldn't bother me at all. Some of you Taylor fans - what do you think?

I am a Taylor Fan-- I personally don't mind, because I don't think he's the worst. In fact the top 5 are all very good and I can see any of them getting a record deal.

Although, I feel that Chris is a bit over-rated-- he sounds a lot like what's currently available... AND, I feel that they keep giving him a boost in his stage shows... (i.e. lighting / 2 guitarists onstage, etc.) Obviously, he's marketable (would be even more so, if he was single!) but in terms of his actual singing technique, I think that Elliot has a better voice (and his looks have been improving.)...

To the last poster. I think you are right on. Chris' voice is good, but his vibrato is forced. The fact that he is good looking is what is helping him so much. Elliot's voice is so much more techinically sound. His vowels are pure, tone is great - the songs he picks are SO much harder than most of the songs that other contestants pick. But, in the end, no one I ever really like makes it to the very top. Last year I loved Anwar Robinson, and he didn't make it that far, either. I like Taylor, though, and if Elliot gets voted off, I will probably start voting for him.

I'm going to have to disagree with a few of you. Chris has a very interesting voice and I love to listen to it. He's different than the previous idols. You are right about him not being bad to look at though. :)
I like him and Taylor the best. I'm ready for Paris to go. Overall though I think the other 4 are great finalists.

It's not that Chris isn't interesting--The thing is that his style tends to sound like a lot of other bands that are currently popular. I think he needs to mix things up a bit!

I'm gearing up for tomorrow's performances. Each person gets to sing 2 songs. Any thoughts about who you want to leave?

I think Paris should be the next to go. She has a great voice, but I really haven't seen any growth from her since the beginning. She doesn't seem to have much a personality - I think it's because she is so young. She probably doesn't even know who she is yet!

I would like to see Paris gone, too. I don't think she fits the pop culture 'Idol". SHe would do great in blues or jazz, though. I find her personality/voice to be really annoying, too!
