14 Day Fresh Start Cleanse

Thinking about signing up for the new fresh start cleanse program and was curious how many of you will be participating. I've not been able to find many reviews on JJ's cleanse programs that do not seem to be paid endorsements. I've never done a cleanse before and thought this may be a great way to get on track and develop some new and healthy habits. Any of you know much about JJ and her cleanse programs?

"Clensing" is totally unneccessary and it is dangerous.
Don't do it. Stay safe. Save your money.

9:17- if it is the wrong kind of cleanse, you are totally right. We just published a new article that answers this question in detail.

2:28- the reason we chose to work with JJ is that her cleanse ideas were an extension of things we were already very familiar with. The fundamentals of her approach are things that we have been talking about for years- removing gluten and dairy, increasing greens.

Some of the ideas around protein in the context of a shake are new to us, as are some of the supplements. But we see that her basic model is one that is fairly common.

As we get the first iteration of this program going, the results will be available for everyone to see because so many PT community members are participating. So you may want to wait until we do this again so you can hear first hand from people.

Thanks! I went ahead and signed up for the course without the kit for this session. I'd like to jump start some weight loss for myself and this seemed like an interesting approach. Can't wait to begin the program!

I just signed up for the cleanse! I didn't get to pick a flavor. Which one tastes better, chocolate or vanilla. Hoping this will give me the boost I need to get back on track.

I've had both flavors and prefer the vanilla. I just like how it goes better with the berries.

And, May 1, 5:34PM, have no fear! It's all good! Really, there's very little downside and many, many upsides :)

Cleanse Day 1

Just started the cleanse today. Two meal replacement shakes a day with one meal. When I add up my calories it totals about 500-600 which seems really low. I am having veggie soup (love the cleanse soup) and added black beans to that for the protein. What else should i be adding?

If you are only getting 500 to 600 calories a day you are doing something wrong! Are you adding the fruit , greens and seeds to the shake? They should be 350 to 400 calories each! Also, 4-6 oz lean protein, 1 portion starchy veg and lots and lots and lots (unlimited) of non starchy veg should add up to around 500 calories as well.

I did the cleanse at 1400 calories a day, and lost the last 9 lbs to my goal, in three weeks. Mostly in the first week!
