My One-Year Peertrainer Anniversary
I posted some in-progress pictures in a bathing suit on my public log. I've lost 23 pounds in the past year (mostly in the last few months), but more permanently...I've made some major lifestyle changes. I started running for the first time in my life. I strength-train regularly. I have become very portion-conscious, and always *always* aware of what I am eating. Virtually no more absent-minded eating. I think about what I eat and I enjoy it while I'm eating it.
Goals for the future include maintenance of weight, and a focus on toning. I want to stay healthy, be stronger, and get in amazing shape.
Thanks to everyone who's helped me so far. :)

Way to go! Your pictures look great. About the things you still want to improve about your body, it's good to work on those too, but don't let working on those things reduce your feeling of accomplishment for what you have already achieved. You've done great!

Congratulations! You look great! You should feel very proud and look forward to swimsuit weather. :)

I think you look great! I hope to look that good by the time summer rolls around! Lately, I've been slacking, so looking at people's awesome progress pictures has been a good inspiration!!!
Keep up the good work, but don't forget to look at your accomplishments so far vs. what you feel needs to be improved. :-)

Wow....thank you, everyone. :) I wasn't expecting such positive feedback. It definitely brought a smile to my face. I'll try and keep in mind the progress I've already made. Hopefully I can use the kind words as motivation! :)
I don't have Before pictures to share, unfortunately. Maybe you can just imagine me with another 20% of my body weight added in fat? I was way too unhappy with my appearance back then to hold onto any photos of myself at all...let alone in a bikini. I don't think I really believed I could lose 20 lbs, so I never would have stuffed myself into that bikini for a "Before" since I wasn't sure the "After" was coming. (well, it's more a "During" than an "After") But I wish I *had* done it....it might have jump-started me back then!
Thanks to blozzom and fleur83 and others who started posting these pics. Definitely an inspiration and a great way to keep yourself honest!

Damn, you have boobs like me! Where'd you find the hot bathing suit that still holds them in??

Ah, hey again jilli10582!
That would be a Shoshanna bikini. Best. Ever. They sell as separates, based on bra sizes.
They are too expensive for me, really, but like a good bra, I consider it an investment, and so I try to take really good care of the two Shoshanna swimsuits I have. The bottom is actually a little big now, so I am (next month) just going to pick up a less expensive bottom from another brand in a matching color...which is probably a good strategy for me in general.
