Things I think could improve PT

This is just a place to post ideas for improving PT. What recommendations would you like to PT implement to improve the site. Obviously, not all can can/will be implemented, but some might. You can also email your suggestions, but hopefully this will get some discussion going.

1. I'd like to be able to graph my wt in my log. I don't want to enter wt somewhere else and then paste. I wanted to be able to control a line graph in PT, telling what date to start from, and have it update each time I enter my wt in my log. Line graphs are a great way to visually keep the focus on how I am doing. For days I don't log, the graph enters a zero. Graph does not need to be fancy. I would prefer that it not be one of those graphs that just shows pounds lost. I want to see actual wt.

I'd like to a way to delete names from the team list based on commenting. For instance, if someone hasn't commented in 6 months, there name automatically drops of. This would allow us to better monitor each others logs in our team. The way it is set up now, the team list gets so large that you have to scroll all over the place in order to find someones log to check. Of course, if someone wants to rejoin, that would be fine. I would like for their comments and community postings to remain however. Lots of people enter good information and I wouldn't want that to be lost.

I'd like to see the numbers list at the top of the comments page that allows you to look further back in the comments be moved to the bottom of the comments page. In the first place, its of little value. In the second place, it doesn't work. The only way I've found to look at old comments is to use the back arrow at the end of all the numbers. Clicking on a number doesn't seem to do anything.

It would be nice if there was a way to enter your weight once or twice a week besides on your daily log...just a quick e-mail reminder that keeps track somehow. Also, it is time consuming to be a "good" group member as you log your own food and you should check all three other members and comment regularly....nice it there was a shorter version of this. Also, more e-mail calls about emotional eating, especially the shad helmstetter stuff...just short , encouraging little bites. On another note, it is great they provide alot of free info.

Last night, I accidentally deleted one of my group members. I emailed PT, and she was added back on, but it would be good to have PT ask, "Do you really want to delete this member?" before you actually delete.

Echoing 6:43 poster. It would be nice to have a quick way to check if a member posted or not instead of having to click on each tab. In the team pages, it lists the members' logs in the order of posting. Can we get something like that for the groups?

I second the suggestion of the 1:01 poster. People who have not posted for 3 months or 6 months or some other period should be dropped from a team. I am in a team with several active posters and dozens who posted once or twice and never returned. They just clog up the list.

inactive team members

how about not dropping them from team, but not show up on home tab?

I've been using PEERtrainer on and off for years now, and I'm one of the three original members of a very active team. I would hate for myself or any other lifer, or founder of a team, to be dropped while on sabbatical.

perhaps there is a compromise here? maybe the tech support can figure something out?

__________

I would like to see a "tab" in the teams specifically for "challenges." so many challenges over the years and it clogs up the "community" tab in the team. perhaps even a "recipe" tab too? :)

I wrote the earlier comment about dropping names. I think something like 5:14 would be fine. I don't care how many people are "members" of the team. I also don't care who monitors the team and I monitor others. What annoys me is that we are getting some many members in the log list that you have to scroll all over the place to find names when you want to check some ones logs. Our team used to monitor each others logs and give pats on the back and good natured kicks in the butt to each other. We would log several active team member logs a night. Now, you have to scan up and down several times just to find someones name.

Maybe the site could have a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month limit on the time you can go w/o posting. If you don't post within a certain time period, you go to monitor status. In monitor status, you see everything the same, but your name doesn't show up in the log or comments search list. And if you ever comment, you automatically go back to member status until the next period of time you don't do anything.
