You could have answered without being catty.

At least the 11:04 poster answered the question. All you (11:16 poster) did was call names.

Actually I was being honest. That poster was being a jerk and just trying to make the other person feel stupid.

I think this conversation sounds like something I last heard in 2nd grade.

To the original poster. Fiber does have a laxative effect, yes, but If you are taking it just to increase your daily fiber intake (I recommend getting most of your fiber from food, but this is sometimes difficult to do every day) follow the dosing instructions on the package.

I take a metamucil capsule supplement once in awhile, and each capsule only has .5 grams of fiber in it. So by taking a couple, you aren't going to have a laxative problem.

Start by taking less than the recommended dosage and see how that affects you, if you don't have any problems with that, then you can up it a little. It will make you regular if you are not already! hope this helps!

fiber

I've found if I eat a light yogurt and mix in Fiber one or Kellogs all bran bran buds I remain "regular" without having to take a laxative or fiber supplement. Some people can eat that kind of cereal with milk but I need to mix it with something else.
