Yes, I used to take this. It is not a miracle supplement, not at all, of course, but it was helful with sugar cravings, really. I've been thinking I should try is again. It helps stabilize the blood sugar, I believe. This was especially helpful with PMS sugar and chocolate cravings in particular.

I've read several articles about it & seen that some weight-loss docs recommend it. One article said you should take 400 units (mcqs?) twice a day. On the bottle it says to take 400 units once a day. I'm going to give it a shot with twice a day. It is supposed to reduce your appetite.

Does this have any other benefits? It might help to understand why the body might need this, before you can know how it would help you lose weight.

This supplement was made famous by the Atkins diet, primarily because it's supposed to make it easier to give up carbs/sugar.

GLA and L-Carinitine

I tried it for blood sugar for 6 months with no effec. Recently my trainer told me she used it to boost her metabolism but that it should be taken with GLA and L-Carintine. I haven't tried that. Has anyone else heard that?

I've used it for years to help control my blood sugar and insulin res. It is by no means a miracle pill but taken with a good balanced diet and exercise it does help if you are insulin res or have type 2 diabetes. I had a friend who took it about 15 years ago over a 2 year period and it helped her cravings for sugar and she lost over 100 pounds.
