Inviting People to Groups

I find it frustrating that to invite someone to a private group i have to find out their email address first... which means they have to give it out, not something they'd necessarily want to do via a post to my public log! Can PT please make there be an "invite" button somehow? Or where you fill in the username of the person you want to invite instead of their email?

Do you mean invite another PT user to a private group? Great idea, yes we will work on this.

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but a workaround is to create a public group, have everyone join that you want, and then change the group from public to private.

yeah, thats a good idea... except making it public means anyone can "get in". i know it sounds bitchy, but i really want to decide who's in there...

PT- yes i mean inviting other PT members into groups. THANKS!

Just privately tell the people that you want to join what the name is. People don't join groups that quickly. Or, lol, make it sound like something really unappealing, or overly specific, like "5'10", 100-lb blondes who think they're fat." Then after everyone's in that you want, make it private, and then change the name to "cool people who rock" or whatever it's going to be.

**note - I'm not trying to offend anyone by this!!!
