Don't know squat

In this months issue of Oxygen there is an article on squats. According to the article, if you do squats with free weights, how you hold them affects what muscles you are working. Many times you may just be working quads and hamstrings rather than primarily glutes. Anyone ever heard of this?

I agree, I usually feel squats far more in my quads then in my glutes. I find that exercises with the fitness ball isolate my glutes better than squats.

Indeed, I typically feel the retro bowl college effects of squats far more in my quads than in my glutes. I find that glute isolation workouts using a fitness ball work better for me than squats.
