Annoyed by these new popup Advertisements?!!

Any one else annoyed by these new popup ads for diet pills & such? It was ok when they were just on the side bar changing. I might have to think about how much time I spend here if I have to keep fighting w/this pop up advertising every 30 sec. Every 5 min is one thing but this is rediculous. I just started to see them these last 2 days or so.

I haven't noticed it. Do you have a popup blocker on your system? Might be worth considering. There hasn't been any noticable change in what I'm seeing on the system lately, other than updating logs has been a bit slow.

I do not see popups and I'm on explorer and mozilla (depending). Maybe it's something with your computer.

Nope, I don't have any pop ups either. Yep, it sounds like the OP needs a pop up blocker.

Thanks all, I'll check the popup blocker, maybe one of my kids disabled it by accident. Thanks.

You may need to update your popup blocker or clear your cookies.

Spyware

Pop ups are sometimes a result of spyware that has been attached to your computer when you visited a site that doesn't restrict these things. Go to your Add/Remove programs and see if there's anything there that might be a spyware program. If it isn't something you installed, or if it didn't come with the computer, remove the program.

Sounds like you've picked up a nasty case of spyware. A program has been hidden in your hard drive somewhere and you'll have a tough time finding it on your own, but the good news is that there's a bunch of decent free spyware removers out there- look on c-net.

I had that same problem a couple years ago- I think I used something like spybot to remove them, problem solved.
