remedy for a weekend recovery?

I was doing good all week, and then this weekend came along and I pigged out, any suggestions for getting back to where I was and fast?

I know drinking water helps, and eating healthy, but any workout suggestions?

remedy?

I would say to get back to any kind of exercise that you can! That should help make you feel better. Just don't try to overdo it and make yourself sore or sick...then you will be off your plan for even longer. Perhaps a longer cardio workout at a moderate pace to get you back on track and then gear up later in the week. I also have found that making sure I still get enough rest and sleep helps too...when I am tired I tend to fall off track easier.

The "recovery" is mostly mental

Bear in mind that this was just one weekend out of your lifelong journey for health. Keep looking forward! You can't expect your body and mind to behave perfectly all the time; you aren't a machine.

Try and figure out why you "pigged out." Were you too restrictive all week and finally gave in to your natural cravings? Were you bored? Did you have a special occasion? Maybe you have been working out harder than normal and your body actually needed some extra calories. Plan ahead for next weekend. Treat it like two regular weekdays, if possible.

You probably won't actually gain any weight, either, unless you ate like five pints of Ben and Jerry's. If you are worried about the extra calories, add a couple 30-minute high-intensity cardio sessions this week to offset the calories.
