V8-- better than drinking OJ?

I just entered V8 into the wiki-- seems to be pretty ok-- some fiber, good deal of potassium, vitamins. But a ton of sodium. Little bit of sugar. Is this a better choice than oj?

I love V8 and i opt for the low sodium kind. It takes some getting used to because it tends to be slightly tarter than the regular kind, but i like it! ;-) It's not nearly as sweet to me...

I too drink the low sodium V8 even though I love Love LOVE the spicy V8. The low sodium stuff definitely took some getting used to, but I find it's a great way to get an additional serving of vegis. There's only so many peppers, cucumbers and salad I can take.

v8

thanks for the info....I'm new to PT and was just nosing around and am finding lots of helpful comments. I have a potassium problem...had already gotten sick of bananas and now getting tired of OJ. Good to know about V8. If anyone else knows any high potassium foods please let me know. My Dr. wasn't much help.

OT on the V8

Low sodium Mortons salt is higher in potassium than the standard stuff and you can use it in all your food.

Potassium Problem

Try eating plantains. They are rich in potassium.
