low fat dressings

Anyone have any suggestions for good low fat dressing - either pre-packaged or a recipe for homemade? I love salads in restaurants - mostly due to the thick, creamy, high fat dressing. But don't eat them at home because I have not found many lowfat dressings that I like.

make sure to add this stuff to the wiki and Tag it, so that others can search on low fat dressing ideas and see a whole bunch.

Newmann's Own Light

My favorite is the Light Balsamic! And unlike other dressings they're not replacing fat with sugar. Don't know the caloric content off hand, but it is 1 pt for 2 tbsp.

Trader Joe's Champange Pear Vinegarette with Gorgonzola

Serving: 2 Tbsp
Calories: 45
Calories from fat: 20 (2.5 g or 4% daily value)

Plus it is sweetened with pear puree and contains no refined sugars. it is amazing on spinach with some thinly sliced appes, sliced almonds and rasberries (or my Thanksgiving fave pomegranite seeds)!

You could try those new "salad spritzer" dressings... Wishbone makes them and the Balsamic Breeze Vinaigrette is super tasty and only 1 calorie per spray. You can really get a lot of dressing on your salad (just enough to be perfect actually) for very few calories.

Try to make tatziki(spelling?), use yogurt, peeled cucumber, lots of garlic. Whirl in the blender, or chop the cucumber and garlic and stir together; makes a great dip or dressing. For this I would try using a full fat or 2% fat yogurt.
