Question about loosing weight fast?

I know that slow and steady wins the race and I truely believe in choosing healthy foods and excercise to loose weight.
I was down to 168 after my son was born. I didn't gain alot of weight during the pregnancy. I started out my pregnancy 50 lbs overweight and really made sure to exercise and eat healthy during my pregnancy.
So after his birth I actually made it down to 168 which was 20 lbs lighter then pre pregnancy. After he was born I quit exercising and I was having so many late night binges that I gained the 20 back in 3 months!!!
So my question is. I'm down 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I think that is alot of weight to loose in such a short amount of time.
I'm working out alot more and I am choosing healthy foods and not binging at night. Do you think this is unhealthy or is it just coming off fast because it wasn't that long ago that I was down 20 lbs?

I have 40 more to go to be at my ultimate perfect goal. I actually have 30 to go to be within my weight range for my height.

It's hard to say - just make sure that you're eating enough. In my experience, the weight usually comes off fairly quickly in the beginning (especially week 1 and 2) but then it evens out and becomes a loss of about 1 - 2 pounds per week. You don't want to lose more than that per week as a general rule - there will always be the occasional weekly exceptions.

You can drop a lot of weight quickly, usually in the beginning of your process or if you make some big changes during. It's not a problem unless it keeps up for a longer period of time than a month or so. (unless you have a very large amount of weight to lose, which isn't the case with you!)

When I first started with PT, I dropped 14 pounds in the first month, which was a great motivational tool for me! It's slowed down since to a pound or so weekly, which is more realistic and helpful in learning how to maintain better when you get to goal.

As long as you are not starving yourself and getting adequate water intake to help you get rid of all the toxicity your body releases when you are losing weight, keep on truckin' girl!
