Censorship on PT -- NOT COOL

Thanks so much for the pointless sex-calories thread and all the people who can't deal with a bit of swearing. My team's remarks that include words deemed offensive by (fill in this blank with an insult) members are getting asterisked out now. I'm sorry Peertrainer has caved to the pressure of the few despite the free-speech-loving majority.

there is an appropriate time and place for swearing. use a journal, not a public forum.

as the other thread says, we should be allowed to use whatever language we see fit in our logs

i see that calling someone a threadbitch and the use of the word "f*cking", spelled out completely with no asterisk, is now acceptable in the forum. is this progress?

Some people may not realize that this website actually belongs to someone. It's a husband and wife who started this on their own, and I believe they have the right to censor whatever they wish. Up til now, they have been very laid back and have let people say what they wanted. But there are people who abuse the anonymity of threads and feel that they should be able to post anything at all in their logs, groups or teams.

A little decorum, tact and diplomacy goes a very long way.
