Anyone try naturopathy or similar to help with weight loss?

Has anyone sought out a naturopathic doctor or something along those lines for help with weight loss? I don't feel like throwing more money at this problem that doesn't get me results.

Trust me, I've been doing everything - a gallon of water a day, 10 hours in the gym every week doing different things, counting calories, watching my macronutrients, personal training, shaking it up, etc. 2 lbs a month is not an acceptable rate of loss for someone putting in this level of effort who still has 45 lbs to lose. The thought of it taking 2 years to accomplish is incredibly demotivating.

2lbs a month-sure, that's slow, but it's STEADY weight loss! keep up with it and it will happen for you!! Weight loss isn't easy-and losing a half lb a week is still great! The slower we lose weight the more likely it is that we will keep it off long term! If you want to speed it up a little, try cutting back your calories a little more, and add another hour or two of exercise per week and you will most likely start losing at least 1lb a week.

have you been doing the same exercise routine for a long time? if so, vary it a bit, raise the intensity, and how long you do something for. Don't be discouraged!!! Congrats on the weight you have already lost!!

My homeopathic doctor recommended the blood type diet, and I love it. Lost weight, got healthier- totally the way I'm going to live for the rest of my life :)

A friend of mine lost a lot of weight doing acupuncture. it's not natruopathy, but it's a holistic approach.

Try reading Dr. Weil's Eat Well for Optimum Health & focus on giving your body what it needs, rather than focusing primarily on weight loss. He has some good suggestions.
