has anyone taken this vitamin? I just started taking a daily vitamin and decided to get this Weight Smart one...I figure if it helps - great, and if not, I am still getting the Vitamin benefits...

i used to take this vitamin all the time. it definitely help me lose weight, but i also suspect it also really messed with my metabolism once i stopped taking it. n
ow you might ask why i stopped taking it. well, that's easy, it wrecked my stomach. i don't mean to be gross but after taking it for a bit i couldn't stop going to the bathroom (basically, i had constant mild-diarrea sp)
so, i stopped taking it and almost immediately put all the weight back on.
so i'd go carefully. i know some other people who use it and are just fine but do remember the green tea stimulant is a stimulant. when you stop taking it, your body will go back to its original metabolic state, or, as i think was the case with me, it could be slower.
it's a risk.

Actually, the green tea extract isn't a stimulant - it's the chemical compounds (polyphenols) from the un-fermented (green) tea leaf that have been shown to help with weight loss. I take it daily, and haven't had any problems, but also haven't seen a major boost to my weight loss. I do have to take it with lunch, otherwise my stomach gets upset (apparently my breakfast isn't enough food to buffer it), but I think that's the B-vitamins, not the green tea extract. I figure even if the green tea extract doesn't help me lose weight, it's a good antioxidant.

I take it
I actually hit a major plateau in my diet and about the same time I went to donate blood and was denied for low iron.. not enough for anemia but still low. So I decided to try a multivitamin and since I was dieting saw that one and thought what could it hurt.
I've noticed that the weight has come off since but don't know for sure if that's just the normal end of the plateau or the vitamin.
I do notice more energy and less bruising though since I started taking it.

OP here - thanks for the insight...I hope it doesn't mess with my metabolism...maybe I will try to do a little more research.

The amount in the One-A-Day is unlikely to have a major effect - taking additional green tea supplements might.
