tiny steps to progress (just a thought I had....)
Everyday I make decisions, ie. should I stop and get a bag of chips at the gas station or should I just go home and eat some veggies, should I buy lunch at the cafe or make my own lunch, should I drink this soda or find water, should I do extra cardio for 10 minutes or call it a day.....
these things all add up I am realizing, although somedays I make one good decision, the next day I may make 10, as long as I make at least one a day, the next day seems a little less challenging.
Lets remind ourselves that things take time, and when I am walking through the mall or grocery store, how do I know that it is not you that I pass by. We are all trying to reach goals, yet no one else knows what your goals may be.
I say, think about yourself first and what is good for you, and realize that everyone else is in the same boat, so try to enjoy life, stop worrying - just make smart decisions. : )

Good thoughts! I was thinking deeply today too...about going out to dinner earlier this week at a new restaurant. I order a sweet potato and a salad. It tasted great and I wasn't overstuffed when I left. Today, I was thinking, gosh, I didn't miss anything by not eating a big, unhealthy meal...I still had a good time, enjoyed my food and the company. I think sometimes I feel like I need to eat something just because it is an option...so not true! :)

What great thoughts... sometimes we're looking so hard at the big things and at the big end result that we completely forget to look at those little decisions throughout the day that have a big impact and keep us motivated. Also, we should remember to be proud of ourselves for all of the little changes and choices that we make each day that take us one step closer to our goals. Thanks for reminding me to always look for those "little things"!
