Top ten womens perfumes

When you head into the nearest beauty store looking for a new fragrance, you know the kind of Top ten womens perfumes you love the most. Whether it's a particular brand or if you just know you love floral notes, you have an idea of what you want and what smells good to you. But do you ever wonder exactly how these womens perfumes are made?

The creation of perfume, whether the kind you find in large perfume bottles or a small travel spray, starts with raw materials. This is where all sorts of wonderful natural pieces come into play. Flowers, leaves, herbs, fruits, and even wood are all used, with natural oils extracted for the perfume.

All these ingredients are then brought to a manufacturing center so that they can be processed. This includes extracting oils from plants, musks from fatty substances that come from animals, and creating synthetic fragrances as well. Some plants or flowers don't have a natural oil that can be extracted and this is why synthetic fragrances come in to play, to replicate those scents. An incredibly large amount of plants, flowers, and other materials are needed to get just a small amount of oil. This is why perfumes can be so pricey.

Then the scents are all blended to create a specific womens perfume. This can be anywhere from just a dozen or so scents to even over one hundred for a single fragrance. Notes are very complicated, especially when mixed together in different ways. So to remove a few different scents can completely change the fragrance and smell of the womens perfume. Alcohol is then often added at the end.

For a strong and unique smell, a lot of these scents and materials are often aged. A perfume can be created, but then let to age for up to a year for the desired fragrance that the creator was going for. After this, they are packaged and shipped to stores to be sold. A lot of luxury brands license out their name and their fragrances to womens perfume companies to make and market their perfumes. One of the only big luxury brands that does not do this is Chanel. They actually create their own perfumes in house.

So the next time you pick up your favorite fragrance, think about all the work that is actually put into creating your favorite womens perfume. The process can take a very long time and if the fragrance is aged first, even longer. You can really appreciate your favorite scents even more knowing how much was put into them.
