Football and eating

I'm watching the game right now (Steelers/Eagles), and though I just ate dinner and am definitely full, I really want to munch! Why does football do that to me??

I know, try to distract myself, keep my hands busy, eat veggies or air-popped popcorn or something like that, drink water or tea, etc. I know what to do, I just need to rant!!! So annoying!

First of all....GO STEELERS! :)

Okay, now that I got that out of my system, I must say that I am the same way. I try to have fruit and veggies on hand though or some good popcorn to fulfill the munchies and not get trapped with high fat/high cal options. However, sometimes I end up at a football gathering and it is hard to resist. SO, I just prepare ahead of time (eat super lean on Saturday and work out both Saturday and Sunday before the game), then I eat before I go. Once I am there, I don't restrict myself, but I do try to sit as far away from the food and really concentrate on the game! :)

Good luck! :)

I think the whole country is this way. There is no getting around it. I watch games and chew on a huge cucumber during the game.

my husband actually thinks "football and food" are synonymous. I give in and make his favorites. I am the one with the weight problem, not him. 'sigh'

I like the idea of chewing on a huge cucumber! I'm going to try that sometime! it sounds like a great snack! So much food for so few calories! Thanks for the idea!!
