Should I be counting a portion of sugar as fat?

Since at least some of the sugar in food gets stored as fat, should that be added to the fat content of a food? For example, if a food has 4 grams of fat and 23 grams of Sugar, is there a portion of the sugar that would get added to the fat total?

I don't know about counting sugar in the fat but I would suggest staying away from foods with that much sugar. It's probably processed and bad for you anyway. Make it a special occasion food or have a very small portion to satisfy a craving. Try to get your sugar from natural sources like fruits or something.

I don't think there's any accurate way to do that because everyone's metabolism is different. I would focus on the amounts of fat, carbohydrate and protein you take in and aim for a good balance. Focusing too much on lowering fat intake can lead to over-consumption of carbohydrates.
